Dirt Work and Land Clearing in Quitman Texas

From Wood County to the Lake Fork area and across Northeast Texas, we bring the equipment to your job site and do the work for you.

One Call for the Whole Job

Some jobs you want to run yourself, and some you just want done. We bring our machines and handle your project start to finish. Dirt work and grading, land clearing and forestry mulching, new pond construction, pond cleanout, driveways and culverts. If you'd rather keep the job in your own hands, you can rent the same machines by the day and do it yourself.

Land Services We Offer

Dirt Work and Site Prep

Grading, leveling, cut and fill, and building pad so what you put up sits solid.

Land Clearing and Forestry Mulching

Standing brush and small timber ground into mulch on the spot, with no burn piles to babysit.

New Pond Construction

Dug, shaped, and packed so it holds water through a dry East Texas summer.

Pond Cleanout and Restoration

Muck, cattails, and years of silt pulled back out so an old tank holds water again.

Driveways and Culverts

A built-up drive and the right culvert pipe, so the water goes under it instead of over it.

What Each Job Looks Like

Land clearing and forestry mulching

Land clearing and forestry mulching

A forestry mulcher knocks down brush, saplings, and small trees and grinds them into a layer of mulch right where they stood. No piles to burn, nothing to haul off. It's the quick way to take a grown-up lot back to usable ground, and the mulch left behind holds the soil until you're ready to seed or build.

Dirt work, grading, and driveways

Most projects start with moving dirt. We cut and fill, level pad, build up a driveway so it sheds water, and set a culvert where the low spot runs so the first hard rain doesn't cut a rut down the middle. Flat and solid up front saves you a cracked slab or a washed-out drive later.

New pond construction

New pond construction

A real pond is more than a hole in the ground. We read the ground and the water, shape the basin, then key in and pack the dam so it holds instead of seeping away by August. Late summer is prime season, when the ground firms up enough to cut clean and haul spoil.

Why Hire Us for It

You get the machines and the people who own them, not a subcontractor. We quote the job before we start, so you know the number going in.

Call me, tell me what you're looking at, and I'll tell you honest what it takes.

How a Job Goes

01

Call and tell us the job

Give us a rough idea over the phone, or send a few photos.

02

We come look and quote it

For most jobs we come see the ground in person, then hand you an estimate.

03

We do the work

We haul in the machines and get after it.

04

You look it over

We aren't done until the job matches what we agreed on and you've walked it with us.

We Know Piney Woods Ground

The dirt around here is sandy loam over clay, grown up thick with pine and post oak roots that hide until the bucket finds them. The wooded lots around Alba, Yantis, and the Emory shoreline almost always carry more root and stump than an owner expects, and the flat bottoms hold water long after a rain. We've worked enough of it to read a piece of ground before we ever drop the blade.

Questions We Get

Do you give free estimates?

Yes. For most jobs we come look at the ground in person and hand you a real number, no charge and no obligation. A few photos help us get you a ballpark faster over the phone.

How big a pond can you dig?

Everything from a small stock tank to a good-sized pond. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and where it sits, and we'll tell you what's realistic for the ground and the budget.

Do you haul off the brush and debris?

With forestry mulching there's nothing to haul, since the brush gets ground into mulch on the spot. For other clearing work, we'll talk through hauling or burning when we quote it.

Can you fix an old pond instead of digging a new one?

Usually, yes. A silted-in tank can often be cleaned out and re-shaped for a lot less than starting over. We'll tell you honestly if it's worth saving or if a new one makes more sense.

What areas do you cover?

We work across Wood County and out around Lake Fork, and into the counties nearby. If you're farther out, call and ask. We'll give you a straight answer.

Can I just rent the machine and do it myself?

Absolutely! We rent the same skid steers, excavators, and mulchers by the day, week, or month, with prices posted online. Do it yourself or hand it to us.
